Questions dog owners ask us

Can't see your question? Send us a message and we will answer it.

Before your visit

How often should my dog be groomed?

Every 4 to 8 weeks suits most coats. Long and curly coats like the shorter end. We will tell you what yours needs.

Do you groom puppies?

Yes. Puppies can come once they have had their second vaccination. Their first visit is short and gentle.

What should I bring?

Just your dog on a lead, and their vaccination card on the first visit. We have towels, treats and everything else.

On the day

How long will my dog be with you?

A bath takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. A full groom takes about 3 hours. We give you a time to collect when you drop off.

Can I stay while my dog is groomed?

We find most dogs settle quickly once their owner has left, so we ask you to drop off and collect. If your dog needs you nearby, tell us and we will work something out.

What if my dog is nervous?

Tell us when you book. We give nervous dogs extra time, a quiet space and breaks, and we never rush them.

Prices and payment

How much does a groom cost?

Prices start from the amount on our prices page. The final price depends on your dog's size and coat, and we confirm it when we meet your dog.

How can I pay?

We take card, cash and bank transfer. You pay when you collect your dog.

What if I need to cancel?

Please give us 24 hours' notice to move or cancel. Late cancellations lose the £10 deposit.

Coats and health

Can you groom a matted coat?

Yes. Matting needs extra time and can be sore, so we talk to you first. We never shave a dog without asking.

My dog has a health condition. Can you still groom them?

Often, yes. Tell us about it when you book, and we will plan a visit that suits your dog. If we think a groom isn't right for them, we will say so.

Ready for a fresh, fluffy dog?

Pick a day that suits you and we will take care of the rest.
